Unsolicited Appreciation

There is no medal ceremony at the end of my day even though I feel like I ran a marathon.

There is no plaque to hang on the mantle stating greatness.

I don’t get a raise for exceeding goals or for having perfect attendance.

These things are all expected. And it is fine with me.

The only reward I need comes in the form of an unsolicited Gracie kiss and when she says "Dank You, Mommy" it's worth every sleepy, aching mile.
