Absolutely

Lately she is a load of laughs. Conversations with her are so fun. The capstone of yesterday included crayons, music, and a lot of talking. Each night, I try to ask what her favorite part of the day was and her reply is normally something like “when we had snack time at school” or “when we played puzzles with Charlie.” Last night she said “dancing with Charlie” and we kept coloring. She thought my drawing looked like fireworks…… .She likes fireworks. She likes Dan and Cristy and had fun with them at Red and Boom. She was a little scared. She won’t be scared this year. She liked jumping in that jumpy thing and hearing Miley Cyrus sing. She won’t be scared. She liked the peanuts. We can take our new stroller this time and maybe Charlie won’t sleep. Charlie might be scared. Charlie is just little. It’s okay to be scared. It’s okay if Charlie cries. Sometimes when you cry you feel better. Sometimes when your friends move away you get sad and you cry. Cristy and Dan have a big dog named Lucy. Lucy gets to live at the beach. We are going to the beach. We can take snacks and juice bags when we go to the beach and a towel. We will do that in the summer. When the weather is warm and we don’t have to wear coats. She has gloves. She has a hat and a scarf that her Gigi made for her. She likes Gigi and Papaw Jim. Papaw Jim has a tractor and so does Uncle Dale. Scott and Jamie have a big car. Pop Pop got a new car. It’s blue. Mimi has a car like Jamie’s. It’s brown. Her marker is brown. Dora’s hair is brown and her picture is so pretty. It looks like fireworks. She likes fireworks.

At bedtime, I hoisted her up for an extra hug and her little voice whispered in my ear as her arms were squeezing my neck…“is this your favorite part of the day momma?”
