It was a typical winter-grey day in Columbus, Ohio. I had traveled several hours. The year was 2000 and we had barely survived Y2K. I was anxiously waiting to be interviewed at Copiers and More, Inc. He pulled up in his expensive black car. He wore a three piece suit and carried a cheap brief case. He interested me. I studied him when he wasn’t looking. He had a long stride and a simple nature. He was confident and faintly arrogant. I knew it would be trouble. I wanted to know him.
I got the job.
He got me. Three of me.
